The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) operates the same way in humans as in dogs, cats and other animals. In reality, all mammals have an endocannabinoid system. This includes horses, rabbits, monkeys, dolphins and elephants, to name a few. A huge number of research are currently being performed around the globe to find out how the ECS could be used exactly to treat different chronic diseases.

The endocannabinoid system in dogs is part of what maintains the natural balance of the body and is usually stimulated by endocannabinoids in-house. However, the endocannabinoid system may also be stimulated by inner cannabinoids, including Cannabidiol (CBD), which is the non-psychoactive compound contained in cannabis sativa. The external stimulus of CBD in today's medical globe creates some excellent excitement.
