It was defined as "The Silent Epidemic" in the early 1980s,1 elderly dementia rapidly became an invitation to clarify health experts from government around the globe. Dementia incidence in people over 80 years describes the epidemic primarily.

 This' ancient' population will continue to evolve in many, especially wealthy, countries around the globe, and the dementia epidemic will rise worldwide as it is the largest proportion of dementia cases.

While population-based studies or survey data demonstrate a declining age-specific prevalence or incidence of rates among those born later in the first half of the 20th century, recent studies show an increase in the number of dementia cases.

 These accounts fascinate us and teach us about possible modifications that contribute to this often tragic situation's epidemic. We believe these reports are often crucial to better control epidemics, including those involving chronic diseases, that we understand what factors contribute in order to study, grow and prevent prevention.
