The Big Five: Largest Acquisitions by Tech Company #infographic

The Titans of Big Five Technology and FAAMG — Twitter, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Google (Alphabet) — have invested more than $4 billion. Such powerful tech behemoths also absorb the skills, innovation, and enterprises of the opposing people as a whole.

Mergers and acquisitions have become a key to keeping the hegemony of innovation under regulation because of their financial weight. Today's Week Chart addresses the world's largest technology firms and their new acquisitions.

The agreement was reached based on synergies between the two companies ' operation and Microsoft's ability to gain access to LinkedIn's 575 million members. But not all Microsoft acquisitions were so good, including the $7.2 billion Nokia Devices & Services in 2014.

At the time, it seemed like a smart move, considering that Finnish company owned 41 percent of the global telephone market. Nevertheless, only two years later, Microsoft sold the property for $350 million. Microsoft changed its strategy and left the market for the mobile and chose to focus on the small, niche market for their hardware.
