Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Google are known as FAAMG in 2018: 5 tech companies whose earned revenue contributes to 68 percent of growth in US GDP. As FAAMG grows, concerns regarding privacy regulations and antitrust regulations have increased. In reality, 2 in 3 Americans support the "Big Tech Breakup" regardless of political party, but far more than half of Americans use FAAMG services. 7 out of 10 have a Facebook account, 9 out of 10 use Google Search, 2 out of 3 Amazon purchases.

In addition, there were concerns about Big Tech violating freedom of speech. Elizabeth Warren released a campaign ad in March 2019 in support of Big Tech's breakup. Facebook pulled her ad and sparked criticism from bipartisans. On the subject, Elizabeth Warren: "Curious why do I think that FB has too much power? Let's start with their ability to shut down a discussion about whether Facebook has too much influence.
