Nokia To Start Your First Smart TV

Nokia To Start Your First Smart TV

It's not long after Nokia released its first smartphone series, and now, in collaboration with Flipkart, the company has introduced its first-ever Smart TV.

Flipkart is India's leading e-commerce shop. Nokia has given permission to use its name for Smart TVs, according to a source. Flipkart says it's a global first for Nokia to enter the TV market.

"Vipul Mehrotra, Flipkart's VP of Nokia's brand partnership, said this move will help make Nokia Smart TVs accessible to users by recognizing their needs and habits. Since we all know that Nokia has been out of the picture for a long time, a TV series could bring Nokia back to the spotlight.

The Nokia Ultra HD (4 K) Smart Android TV is a 55-inch TV that features a 16:9 monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and HDR10 are also enabled. In addition, the TV is running on Android OS, although the update has not been confirmed. Together with two USB ports, the smart TV also has HDMI support.

Nokia TV is set to launch on December 10th in India. Whether this move would be fruitful and whether the company will extend its Smart TVs to other countries is yet to be seen.
