Cardiovascular disease is the world's number one cause of death. Cancer, however, is also spreading rapidly-particularly in high-income countries. In fact, researchers claim that, in developed countries, cancer kills twice as many people. We also expect that, in a few decades, the condition will quickly overtake cardiovascular diseases and become the leading cause of death.

In this respect, the American Cancer Society have released an Infographic, where they listed the top cancer types in the U.S. Breast cancer for women and prostate cancer for men represented the most cancer diagnoses in America according to their results. Lung cancer is also common among 12.3 percent females and 13 percent males in the U.S. All sexes are more likely to develop colorectal or bowel cancer, too.

The study also looked at the new diagnoses in 2020 and saw women being more affected by the disease than men. The number of women diagnosed with cancer in 2020 as of this writing was 912, 930 while the figure for their male counterparts stood at 893,660.
