International Women's Day is being celebrated around the world on March 8, and lively debates on gender equality circulate in the media much as every year.

Unfortunately we don't yet have an fair world for women in the year 2020. Nonetheless, the WorldBank's study on Women, Industry, and Law 2020 suggests that only eight countries worldwide provide equal legal protection to both men and women. The ranking included 194 countries outside the world and found that only Belgium, France, Denmark, Latvia, Luxembourg, Sweden, Canada and Iceland were 100 per cent ranked.

Last position went to Yemen and Sudan which scored 26.3% and 26.9% respectively. Since introducing new laws in the country, Saudi Arabia boosted its ranking and rated a little above 70 per cent. The U.S. ranked 91.3 percent, below countries such as Peru and Albania for famously bad maternal leave, fair pay, pensions, etc.
