As a result of COVID-19, many companies are required to discharge their workers – either temporarily or indefinitely, leaving many people unemployed during these test periods. There are several companies which are recruiting, however. And hiring for hundreds and even thousands of positions, not just for small vacancies.

With a majority of the world facing some lockdown severity in their regions for indefinite periods, people are scrambling to fill their homes with the foodstuffs and other household supplies available. It has left grocers with several vacancies, including others struggling with food distribution.

There are several distribution and delivery companies looking to fill open roles during the ongoing coronavirus according to a survey from NPR and Market Watch. In reality, Instacart, a retail delivery service, has an opening for nearly 300,000 contract employees while Walmart and Amazon are planning to hire at least 150,000 and 100,000 employees respectively.

In addition, the food joints open to take-out and delivery are also seeing a boom in their business and have open vacancies for interested employees. This includes Pizza Hut and Papa John's Pizza, and more than 20,000 openings for temporary and part-time workers.
