The COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the world, nearly. Yet interestingly, there are a few areas on earth that have stayed unchanged-from the coronavirus up until now.

The following chart shows the countries that didn't register any COVID-19 incidents. North Korea, Tajikistan, South Sudan, Malawi, Yemen, Burundi and Lesotho are among those countries.

However, in some of those countries there are important exclamations about the actual situation. North Korea, in particular, is under the spotlight for being elusive after South Korea reports that COVID-19 has already spread over the Chinese border to the area. North Korea is known for its state media regulation and this may be the reason why word about coronavirus has not yet entered the global publication in the country.

Many African nations, including Botswana, Burundi, the Comoros, Malawi, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone and South Sudan, also state they have no coronavirus cases. Nevertheless, the country's lack of research facilities may possibly be the cause for undiagnosed cases.

Myanmar, also known as Burma, had so far managed to remain free from the virus. But last week the country with the most undeveloped health-care system reported its first case. However, the virus has failed to hit the Pacific Island nations including the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

Meanwhile, more than 49,000 deaths and more than 962,000 recorded diagnoses due to coronavirus have been reported globally.
