If you're a coffee lover who lacks your beloved Starbucks store's fresh fragrance then we've got some good news for you!

After observing the closure of all its dining rooms since mid-March due to restrictions on the lockdown in the USA, Starbuck is considering reopening selected stores from May 4 as a way to bring back some normalcy in the region.

Rossann Williams, executive vice president of Starbucks, posted a note for his staff and partners, announcing the company's decision to open as many stores as possible beginning May 4. He said the firm would ensure, however, 'updated operations and high-end protection measures.'

According to Starbuck's re-opening policy, any employee who has no pre-existing COVID-19-related risks will report back to service at selected stores that are scheduled to re-open.

The coffee-joint will continue to provide benefits and pay additional $3 an hour for the workers who work. But the disaster compensation does not extend to safe workers who plan not to work after the reopening of the stores beginning May 3.

Starbucks' decision to reopen the stores comes as a surprise because other big retailers and corporations have opted to remain closed – with the government pressuring businesses to restart some operations with improved security protocols. The company plans to become fully operational by June.

Starbuck will also publish its Q1 2020 earnings report on April 28.

Let's look at the states with the most Starbucks stores in the map below.
