There is a requirement for every State and territory. However, to apply for driver accreditation, a Traffic History, Medical History and Criminal History check may generally be required in states such as South Australia, Working with Children and Northern Territory, Insolvency check may be required.

The type of offence, how old the offense was, how severe it is being checked in the Traffic History check. The Austroads and National Transport Commission have set certain requirements of Medical History testing. The applicant must meet the requirement.

No Criminal Background Review Certificates can be approved for 3-6 months. The applicant may request the test from an approved site itself, or the driver accreditation body conducts the applicant's test name. Also under strict supervision, the current driver accreditation holders and accreditation may be cancelled if any criminal changes occur.

Application for driver accreditation may be disqualified in 3 circumstances. Mostly if Working with Children checks forbid somebody to work in this sector.
