Although solitude has been labeled an epidemic in recent years, we have come to think of it more as a global epidemic and while nearly half of Americans experience solitude, it is definitely not a problem that is special to our country or our culture.

Far from it.

Britons struggle with solitude; like those living in Canada; like those living in Australia; and the list continues.

In fact, in the UK, a minister for loneliness has been appointed to combat growing concerns about this widespread matter.

We have developed a robust, ever-evolving tool and community where you will not only be able to learn about different forms of depression and their root causes, but also communicate with those experiencing the same sensations.

Over time, we 're going to add more forums, videos and resources to any subtype of depression created by those who have experienced it firsthand.

We invite you to learn, to discover, to share your stories and questions with experts and to connect meaningfully with others.
