What Is a Commercial Surety Bond? #infographic

This type of bond is a means of ensuring that, in a contractual relationship, one party ( the principal) fulfills its obligations to another party (the obligor). Such duties may include the relevant laws and regulations, fiduciary responsibilities being met, or contractual obligations being met. The debtor can file a lawsuit against the bond seeking compensation where necessary. When the principal doesn't, the company that issues the bond agrees to pay but the principal (you) must fund the premium in full.
